He’s just seen the Matrix and he’s so pumped about it! Look at his grin, that’s a quoting “I know Kung-fu!” on the way out of the theater grin. And he’s got the coat and everything, he came in costume because he was so excited to see the movie! It’s VERY cute.
In the mushy ongoing continuity of DC’s comic franchises, it’s unusual for any story to be attached to a particular date and time. But this one is the exception – Joker got his ass beat by Batman on March 31, 1999 after trying to do the one-armed parry thing Neo does at the end of the movie.
