Batman goes bat shit! I love Bat-Mite being used in a more serious story, so much fun.
There is this great line in the comic, near the end of the run. Batman is going screwy and getting pretty fed up with this magical imp hovering over his shoulder and he finally breaks down and asks “How bout a straight answer, are you really an alien-hyper imp from the 5th dimension… or just a figment of my imagination?”
And Bat-Mite answers
“Imagination IS the 5th dimension”
