So Mego went out of business, but Diamond Select still wanted to sell classic Spock stuff. So they licenced the doll design and pushed this adorable guy out. But then Mego came back in business so now you can get a “real” one again.
Anyway, none of that really matters. All that matters is HOW STINKING CUTE this doll of Spock is! I love these old style figures, just something so elemental about them. Their like the platonic ideal of a franchise toy, a basic doll with a lovely little outfit and face sculpt, nothing too fancy, but somehow endlessly playable. Just good fucking toys.
