I was convinced as a kid that Sheik was a boy and Link was getting gay. This was a decidedly welcome turn of events and I was extremely disappointed when they turned out to just be Zelda. This put me off the character for years.
I have more sophisticated appreciation for crossdressing Zelda in my old age. Sheik is cool and I like having a tiny statue of this cutie.
